SearchSprint Toolbar is a search toolbar that shows advertisements and collects your email address for marketing purposes. SearchSprint Toolbar is using random names for its .dll file.

From the End User License Agreement displayed when you install SearchSprint Toolbar: "I understand that this software will document email address that I type into forms on any webpage viewed. These emails are used, and not combined with any other personal information, and used to offer me products in my email that i might be interested in.

Roings, Inc. is providing you a Service and a Software that, when downloaded on your computer system will notify you of offers and or information that may be of interest to you, by adding an overlay to text of Web sites you visit or by linking to websites with with various offers and information. Upon the opening of any World Wide Web Page, the Software scans the Web Page, and includes text above the search results from the web page This text is not part of the Web page you are on, but are overlays provided by the Service. When you click on the marked word or phrase, you will be directed to a third party Web site. Links to the associated third party Web sites are provided by the Service and are not provided by the Web site you are visiting. If you follow any link and wish to return to the site where you were, simply click the Back button. Also, whenever an email address is typed into a form, that email address may be documented and sent to roings.com for marketing purposes.

Manual removal

Please follow the instructions below if you would like to remove SearchSprint Toolbar manually. Please notice that you must follow the instructions very carefully and delete everything that is mentioned. In most cases the removal will fail if one single item is not deleted. If SearchSprint Toolbar remains on your system after stepping through the removal instructions, please double-check by stepping through them again.

  1. Start the registry editor. This is done by clicking Start then Run. (The Run dialog will appear.) Type regedit and click OK. (The registry editor will open.)
  2. Browse to the key:
    'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Toolbar'
  3. In the right pane, delete the value called {AEE46806-2C5A-4A4E-A5DD-B4531F64A187} , if it exists.
  4. Browse to the key:
    'HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Toolbar \ WebBrowser'
  5. In the right pane, delete the value called {AEE46806-2C5A-4A4E-A5DD-B4531F64A187} ', if it exists.
  6. Delete 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID \ {AEE46806-2C5A-4A4E-A5DD-B4531F64A187} ', if it exists.
  7. Exit the registry editor.
  8. Restart your computer.
  9. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  10. In Internet Explorer, click Tools -> Internet Options.
  11. Click the Programs tab -> Reset Web Settings.
