Cydoor ships with many free programs such as iMesh, Kazaa, Limewire, Grokster, etc. These are called the "hosting Adware" in the vendor's uninstall instructions below. Cydoor stores the ads in "%SystemDir%\AdCache\" or "%SystemDir%\Roodyc\".

Note: %SystemDir% is a variable (?). By default, this is C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me), C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP).

Uninstall notice for Cydoor

Notice that removing Cydoor may cause the program that bundled it to not function as intended.

Uninstall procedure

This is the uninstall instructions from Cydoor:

If you wish to uninstall our components you must first uninstall the hosting Adware and then the Cydoor component will uninstall itself automatically. If this does not happen it could be a result of several situations:

1. You have another Adware using our components installed on your computer and so the dll's are still needed.
2. In some cases you will need to remove it from the "Add/Remove program" window, there it will appear as: "[Adware name] ads support".
3. Our very early versions didn't include the uninstall feature, and we apologize for that.
