Overview
FindWhateverNow is an Internet Explorer toolbar opening
search results at findwhatevernow.com.
From the vendor: "If you download and install the FindWhateverNow toolbar software (the "Software"),
we collect any information available during the installation and registration process, which can
include your email address as well as demographic information such as gender, age, occupation,
household income, zip code and country. We also collect the name of and information about any
advertisement that brought you to the FindWhateverNow Web site or download. All information is
correlated to Web usage and other information collected during use of the Service. When you download
the Software, and at times during your use of the Service, we transmit FindWhateverNow cookies to the
hard drive of your computer. These cookies assign your Web browser a unique series of numbers, letters,
or characters (your "User ID") that enable FindWhateverNow's servers to recognize and identify your Web
browser when you are using the Service. They also enable FindWhateverNow to track and store information
about your Web usage path. When you visit Web sites with the Software installed (the "Service"), we collect
information about the Web sites you visit and the pages you view. This information allows us to deliver
information to you that is related to your interests and Web sites you visit."

Manual removal
Please follow the instructions below if you would like to remove FindWhateverNow manually. Please
notice that you must follow the instructions very carefully and delete everything that is mentioned. In most
cases the removal will fail if one single item is not deleted. If FindWhateverNow remains on your system
after stepping through the removal instructions, please double-check by stepping through them again.

Start the registry editor. This is done by clicking Start then Run.
(The Run dialog will appear.) Type regedit and click OK. (The registry editor will open.)
- Browse to the key:
'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\WebBrowser\'
- In the right pane, delete the value called {3D0BDAB3-12F4-471C-8966-E35A2C6C7DE7}, if it exists.
- Exit the registry editor.
- Restart your computer.

Start Windows Explorer and delete:
%SystemDir%\FWNToolbar.dll
Note: %SystemDir% is a variable (?). By default, this is C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me), C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP).
