When you click on the marked word or phrase, you will be directed to a third party Web site. Links to the associated third party Web sites are provided by the Service and are not provided by the Web site you are visiting. If you follow any link and wish to return to the site where you were, simply click the Back button. Also, whenever an email address is scanned, that email address may be documented and sent to for marketing purposes."

The manual removal instructions listed below will help you to identify what to delete with FreeFixer.

Manual removal

Please follow the instructions below if you would like to remove Media Motor manually. Please notice that you must follow the instructions very carefully and delete everything that is mentioned. In most cases the removal will fail if one single item is not deleted. If Media Motor remains on your system after stepping through the removal instructions, please double-check by stepping through them again.

  1. Start your computer in safe mode.
  2. Start the registry editor. This is done by clicking Start then Run. (The Run dialog will appear.) Type regedit and click OK. (The registry editor will open.)
  3. Delete 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID \ {E0CE16CB-741C-4B24-8D04-A817856E07F4}\', if it exists.
  4. Browse to the key:
    'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run'
  5. In the right pane, delete the value called 'mediamotor.exe', if it exists.
  6. Exit the registry editor.
  7. Start Windows Explorer and delete:
    Note: %WinDir% is a variable (?). By default, this is C:\Windows (Windows 95/98/Me/XP) or C:\WINNT (Windows NT/2000).
