SystemDir.searchbar changes your Search Bar, SearchURL, SearchAssistant and CustomizeSearch settings, pointing to %SystemDir%\searchbar.html, displaying a search box and quick searches about poker, roulette, hair loss, fitness, etc. searchbar.html is mirrored at this site for your reference. Discussions at the security forums recommends the removal of SystemDir.searchbar [1] [2] [3] [4] [5].

Note: It is possible, although highly unlikely, that legitimate search enhancements adds searchbar.html in %SystemDir%. Do not delete %SystemDir%\searchbar.html unless you are 100% sure that it is something that you want to remove.

Note: %SystemDir% is a variable (?). By default, this is C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me), C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP).
