Overview
TvMedia.tvmbho, also known as CleverIEHooker, is a Browser Helper Object.
At first glance there there does not seem to be anyone that
can offer more information about it than that it should be removed. PestPatrol refers to
it as a browser hijacker,
ComputerCops classify it
as an unwanted software component. TvMedia.tvmbho is also mentioned
at the security forums where its removal is recommended

TvMedia.tvmbho drops its files in "%ProgramsDir%\TV MEDIA\"
and in rare cases in "C:\TV MEDIA\".
Note: %ProgramsDir% is a variable (?). By default, this is C:\Program Files.
Looking at the contents of the files offers some information. It appears that
TvMedia.tvmbho's end user license agreement
is pointed out by the following URL: http://www.totalvelocity.com/EULA.html?Install=.
The following domain names can also be found in the files: ads.centralmedia.ws, flashlightsearch.com.
The following files names are also mentioned in TvMedia.tvmbho's files:
Tvm.exe, TvmCore.exe, TvmBho.dll, memorymeter.exe, TvmLg.exe, Tvmcwrd.dll, tvmuknwrd.dll, jeired.dll.
TvMedia.tvmbho has a silent update function as stated in the EULA:
"TV may in its sole discretion make updates, fixes, upgrades, new functions and other modifications or versions
of the Software (Changes) available to you in the future. You hereby consent to receive these Changes automatically
and consent to having TV or its agents install the Changes directly onto your computer without any additional
interaction with TV. This delivery process will take place in the background and will not have any material impact
on your Internet usage."

Manual removal
Please follow the instructions below if you would like to remove TvMedia.tvmbho manually. Please
notice that you must follow the instructions very carefully and delete everything that is mentioned. In most
cases the removal will fail if one single item is not deleted. If TvMedia.tvmbho remains on your system
after stepping through the removal instructions, please double-check by stepping through them again.

Start your computer in safe mode.

Start the registry editor. This is done by clicking Start then Run.
(The Run dialog will appear.) Type regedit and click OK. (The registry editor will open.)
- Browse to the key:
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run'
- In the right pane, delete the value called 'TV Media', if it exists.
- Browse to the key:
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ RunOnce'
- In the right pane, delete the value called 'TV Media', if it exists.
- Browse to the key:
'HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run'
- In the right pane, delete the value called 'TV Media', if it exists.
- Browse to the key:
'HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ RunOnce'
- In the right pane, delete the value called 'TV Media', if it exists.
- Delete 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID \ {707E6F76-9FFB-4920-A976-EA101271BC25}', if it exists.
- Delete 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer\Browser Helper Objects \ {707E6F76-9FFB-4920-A976-EA101271BC25}', if it exists.
- Exit the registry editor.
- Restart your computer.

Start Windows Explorer and delete:
%ProgramsDir%\TV Media\
