Overview
BrowserAid.Rundll is a variant of BrowserAid.
BrowserAid.Rundll's main file is called Rundll16.exe and located in %WinDir%, which should not be confused with
the system files rundll.exe
and rundll32.exe.
Note: %WinDir% is a variable (?). By default, this is C:\Windows (Windows 95/98/Me/XP) or C:\WINNT (Windows NT/2000).
The Rundll16.exe filename is also used by many viruses and trojans.

assistance while uninstalling BrowserAid.Rundll. The manual removal instructions
listed below will help you to identify what to delete with

Manual removal
Please follow the instructions below if you would like to remove BrowserAid.Rundll manually. Please
notice that you must follow the instructions very carefully and delete everything that is mentioned. In most
cases the removal will fail if one single item is not deleted. If BrowserAid.Rundll remains on your system
after stepping through the removal instructions, please double-check by stepping through them again.

Start the registry editor. This is done by clicking Start then Run.
(The Run dialog will appear.) Type regedit and click OK. (The registry editor will open.)
- Browse to the key:
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run'
- In the right pane, delete the value called 'Rundll16', if it exists.
- In the right pane, delete the value called 'RunWindowsUpdate', if it exists.
- Browse to the key:
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Toolbar'
- In the right pane, delete the value called {85C2C2A1-3F20-4EAD-ADC3-BD3217391543}, if it exists.
- Exit the registry editor.
- Restart your computer.
- Delete
%WinDir%\rundll16.exe
%WinDir%\rundll16.dll
%WinDir%\uptodate.exe
Note: %WinDir% is a variable (?). By default, this is C:\Windows (Windows 95/98/Me/XP) or C:\WINNT (Windows NT/2000).
