MySearch Bar.C
Overview
MySearch Bar.C, a variant of MySearch Bar.
MySearch Bar.C is implemented as a browser helper object.
MySearch Bar.C is typically installed when you download other applications,
such as the Morpheus peer-to-peer software. When testing Morpheus 3.4 there was no
option to opt-out, you will
get MySearch Bar.C whether you want it or not.
MySearch Bar.C has an update feature that may run without explicit notice.
If you decide to search in the address bar or in the search toolbar you
will be taken to mysearch.myway.com which display a few sponsored links
and your search results. The advertising is modest. MySearch Bar.C
does not open pop-up windows.
"The MySearch and MyWay variants have been bundled with
Grokster, Morpheus, WeatherBug, and software from mgshareware.com.
MySearch has also been installed by the FavoriteMan parasite.
The MyWeb variant is bundled with software (Popswatter, SmileyCentral, My Mail Stamp)
from "Fun Web Products" (the same people as MyWay)."
